While talking to a senior journalist, he said that there are news or rumors that a new constitutional amendment is coming according to which the term of office of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will be three years.
This means that Mr. Qazi Faiz Isa will remain the Chief Justice for two more years.
I do not know whether such a constitutional amendment will come and be approved by the assemblies or not. His lawyers will resist or not.
Regardless, our suggestion is that Mr. Qazi Faiz Isa should be made Chief Justice of Pakistan for life.
